He previously worked for local Cadillac and Buick dealerships. In just a few short years, Chester purchased a warehouse on the west side of town near the York Fairgrounds, our current location. In the 1940s, Chester welcomed his nephew, Richard "Dick" Munchel, to his team and began to teach this profession to this high school student. After high school, Dick was drafted into the army during the Second World War. He proudly served at the Pacific Theater. On his return, Dick picked up where he left off; working at Fink's garage. The business flourished and its good reputation developed in the 1950s. Fink's welcomed Gerald "Jerry" Leckrone to its team in the late 1950s.
