about us History Hill International Trucks has served the trucking industry in the Tri-State region for 121 years. Founded in Lisbon, Ohio in 1897 by Oswin Spencer Hill, the business started out as a store of farm equipment and supplies. Oswin's son Donald later added the International Truck Franchise in 1939 and abandoned farming equipment lines in 1956. Don's son Jack opened the East Liverpool location in 1961 and operated the two facilities until 1965, when the Lisbon store was closed. The business moved to its current location on 8 acres on Y&O at State Route 170 and State Route 11 in East Liverpool, Ohio in 1971. The Wheeling store at # 1-27th Street was added in 1979. In 1997, Hill International Trucks joined Idealease, Navistar's truck rental and rental division with the opening of Hill Idealease in Martins Ferry, Ohio. In 2003, Hill International Trucks opened its third store in Washington, PA. In 2007, Hill International Trucks built a new facility at Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, to replace the Washington, Pennsylvania location. Hill International Trucks continued its growth by adding two associated dealers, Ralich Truck Center in 2011 and R-Way Transport in 2015. Also in 2015, Hill International Trucks wanted to extend our capacity to offer a greater variety of products to our customers and has partnered with NAPA in Cadiz, OH and Magnolia, OH.
