Sound Connection Inc was founded in August 1995 by Benjamin Larson, who was only 18 years old at the time. The business started out in a 300 square foot office with no installation facilities and a clay parking lot that was attached to "Snoop-N-Save" (a general merchandise retail store). He was playfully nicknamed the Taj Mahal. Thanks to exceptional customer service, product knowledge, the desire to become the first vehicle improvement center in the Midwest, the will, the determination and above all the obstinacy of not failing, the company started to develop quickly in the small office. In 1996, Sound Connection moved into a larger facility with a shabby bay for two cars just down the road (Sweet, we have bays)! After a few years in this place, and much more research, schooling, seminars, networking, many facilities and every penny reinvested in the business, we moved into a building on Front Street in downtown Brainerd in 2000. We have occupied this site for 14 years and thousands of facilities and customers. Du********* ted in business purchasing tools, test equipment, products, displays, writing user manuals, learning better ways to run a business, networking with other professionals, collecting awards, organizing fairs and growing our business in general. We are now located not far from our original building, but very far from our starting point. With numerous awards, including the national "Top 50 Mobile Electronics Retailer", the "Top 100 Installer" and many dealer prices of the year, we have finally made our original dream a reality by becoming the first installation vehicle improvement in the Midwest. We are still working very hard every day to make this dream come true and to treat all of our customers, suppliers, partners and employees with the utmost care and respect.
