Modern Auto body is owned and operated by Francis Fistori. He began his business in 1985 at a rented one bay garage. After a couple of years he purchased the land at 561 N. Montello Street and began construction on the current facility. Mr. Fistori was educated at Blue Hills Regional and now sits on the school committee as representative from Avon. He also sits on the advisory board for Southeastern Regional Technical School and is Vice President of The Montello Business Association.
Over the years Modern Auto body has hired many students from the area trade schools. Modern Auto body has 15 employees and currently has 4 Massachusetts Licensed Appraisers on staff.
Modern Auto body is one of only a few shops in Massachusetts¿s that is an I-CAR Gold Class Shop. I-CAR is the inter-industry conference on auto collision repair. The vision of I-CAR is that every person in the collision industry has the necessary technical knowledge and skills relevant to their position to achieve a complete and safe repair. With this in mind Modern Auto body works hard to maintain I-CAR Gold Class status. Our technicians are extensively educated and hold certificates from both
I-CAR and ASE.
ASE is The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. To become ASE certified you must be trained and tested. Being ASE certified demonstrates commitment to the automotive service and repair profession. The technicians at Modern Auto body are continually trained, and update their certificates from ASE.
Fran is the committee Head for I-CAR in the Northeast and has sponsored classes for I-CAR for 10 years.
