I love the combination of these specialties- I feel that I can really help a person with diabetes or thyroid disease as far as medications, but also can really help improve health status with nutrition and lifestyle support. I get to know my patients, and not just from a purely medical standpoint. I try to understand their lifestyle and rather than teach in a "one size fits all" manner, I work with them to create a realistic plan to optimize overall health. I started a medical weight loss program in 2018, and have cultivated a team of professionals that address all the pillars of weight loss treatment- nutrition, behavior, weigh loss medication and exercise. We have a strong program with a core structure of individual weekly health and nutrition coaching visits, group classes, and regular medical visits. Our team collaborates to create a custom daily meal plan, using top quality meal replacements as well as grocery food to fit the needs of our patients. We also have a non-medical weight loss program- our Lifestyle and Wellness program- for those looking for a less aggressive approach. Currently we are offe********* ices, and our office located in Amesbury, MA will be opening in May for in person appointments. I also have a large general endocrinology practice, with particular interest in diabetes (both Type 1 and 2), thyroid disease including thyroid nodules and cancer, PCOS, osteoporosis and pituitary disease. I collaborate with top thyroid surgeons on the North Shore as well as Boston, and regularly attend endocrine and obesity medicine conferences to remain up to date with medical knowledge and advancements.
